A 4.7-magnitude earthquake was registered today in Malatya Province, Southeastern Turkiye, according to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD). The quake was epicentred in Putyurge district, at a depth of 10 km.
At 5:13 am, another earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter Scale was registered.
There is no information about injured people and damages.
Malatya is one of 11 Turkish provinces hit hard by the strong earthquakes that devastated parts of southern Turkiye and northern Syria on February 6.
