site.btaBill Amending Cultural Heritage Act Approved
The cabinet Wednesday approved a bill amending the Cultural Heritage Act. Under the amendments, a private museum's licence can be revoked by the Culture Minister on a proposal by the Inspectorate for Protection of the Cultural Heritage in cases when the permanent or temporary exhibition is open to the public for fewer than 100 days in a year; the museum stops meeting the requirements for the exhibits, the building, the source of financing or the qualified staff; or the museum keeps movable cultural property which is not properly identified and registered.
