Sofia, November 6 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 628,680 after 40,086 tests identified 4,734 new infections on Friday, according to data posted early on Saturday on the national coronavirus information platform at https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 11.8 per cent.

The active cases are 110,551. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 8,262, including 724 in intensive care.

A total of 185 fatalities are reported, and the death toll now adds up to 24,940.

With 20,272 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,954,059 persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far.

As much as 84.9 per cent of the daily new cases were unvaccinated as well as 92.97 per cent of the fatalities. LN
