site.bta3.0-Magnitude Quake Registered near Topolovgrad
An earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale was recorded near Topolovgrad at 7:24 a.m. on Thursday, reported the National Seismological Centre at the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS).
The epicentre of the quake was 5.1 kilometers northwest of Topolovgrad and 250 kilometres from the capital.
“We have no reports suggesting that the quake was felt by the public, nor have there been any reports of damage so far,” officials on duty at Topolovgrad Municipality told BTA.
