The Cabinet Wednesday adopted a 2026-2030 Action Plan for Bulgaria's National Financial Literacy Strategy.
The Plan sets out the main activities to be carried out over the five-year period to improve financial literacy among children and students, young people, the economically active population and vulnerable groups in the country. The measures take into account a number of factors, including the growing range and increasing complexity of financial products, the emergence of new risks for consumers, the rapid development of the financial sector and others.
The document builds on the results achieved through the implementation of the activities set out in the previous Action Plan (2021-2025), ensuring continuity, sustainability and consistency in state policy on financial literacy.
The new Action Plan under the National Strategy for Financial Literacy of the Republic of Bulgaria was developed by an inter-institutional working group with broad representation from government and non-government institutions and organizations.
