Bulgaria will make its debut at the Pickleball World Cup with an official national team, the Bulgarian Tennis Federation (BTF) said on Friday.

The tournament will be held from Sept. 3-6 in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Bulgaria’s participation marks a major step in the development of pickleball in the country and its growing presence on the international stage in one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, the federation said.

The BTF has announced the squad that will represent Bulgaria at the World Cup, with Stanimir Stoychev named captain of both the men’s and women’s +19 teams.

The Bulgarian squad comprises Antoaneta Toskova, Kristin Pavlov, Maria Demireva, Martin Stanchev, Rosen Naydenov and Vasil Yazadjiev.

"The Bulgarian Tennis Federation wishes captain Stanimir Stoychev and all members of the national team success," the federation said.
