Bulgaria has been invited to participate as honoured country at the upcoming SEREXPO 2026 business exhibition, which is scheduled to take place from September 16–20 this year in Serres, Northern Greece, according to Greek regional media.

The Serres Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that its chairman, Athanassios Maliaras, visited Sofia, where he met with Savvas Karafyllidis, chairman of the Bulgarian-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The announcement said that the meeting focused on the organization of the exhibition and the conditions for Bulgaria’s participation.

Athanassios Maliaras, quoted in the statement, emphasized the efforts to give SEREXPO an increasingly international profile. According to him, the presence of representatives from Bulgarian companies and organizations will benefit their contacts with other participants through the organization of bilateral meetings.

For his part, the chairman of the Bulgarian-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Savvas Karafylidis, noted that Bulgarian companies have a particularly strong interest in creating new opportunities for cooperation with Greek businesses, especially with enterprises from the Serres region.

According to the organizers, more than 100 exhibitors participate in the exhibition every year, while the number of visitors reaches around 50,000 people.
