The Board of Directors of Bulgargaz has elected Georgi Tatarski Executive Director of the company, replacing Veselin Sinabov. The decision was taken at a meeting on July 16 and has already been entered in the Commercial Register, according to the minutes of the meeting.

At the same meeting, the Board members elected Veselina Kanatova-Buchkova Chair of the Board of Directors.

According to the changes entered in the Commercial Register, Ivan Topchiyski, Byanka Racheva and Marin Filipovski have been removed from the Board.

The meeting was attended by independent Board members Kanatova-Buchkova and Velislav Yonev, as well as Georgi Tatarski, Veselin Sinabov and Mihail Milkov in their capacity as representatives of the State.

Commercial Register data show that the members of the Board of Directors have five-year terms of office. Georgi Tatarski,  Kanatova-Buchkova and  Yonev are to serve until a new competitive selection procedure is completed, but for no longer than six months.

The changes come as Bulgarian state-owned gas supplier Bulgargaz is negotiating with Turkish state energy company BOTAŞ to amend a 13-year agreement signed in early 2023 during the tenure of the caretaker government headed by Galab Donev, when Rosen Hristov was caretaker energy minister. The agreement was signed on January 3, 2023.
