Anti-government protesters blocked traffic on central streets in Sofia on Saturday. Manol Glishev, one of the event's organizers, told reporters that Prime Minister Rumen Radev has gone so far as to draft a state budget that makes even Rosen Zhelyazkov's budget pale in comparison.
The rally chanted "Resignation" and "This is not Moscow".
Glishev added: "Prime Minister Radev continues to export weapons to Ukraine, which is good, but why is he lying about stopping aid to the attacked country?". He stated that shutting down the parliamentary committee on secret police files and the parliamentary committee responsible for children and family issues is closing Bulgaria's door on both its past and its future.
Metodi Lalov, one of the speakers at the protest, stated that Bulgaria will not serve Russian President Vladimir Putin. He accused Radev of being a coward, just like GERB Chair Boyko Borissov and MRF Chair Delyan Peevski. Lalov also criticized the opposition for its absence from the protest.
