Artist Marina Stankova's second solo exhibition is centred on the theme of happiness as a personal choice, an experience and a state of mind. It seeks to create a space for sharing inspiration and emotions while reminding visitors that happiness is an art that can be experienced.

The show at Sofia's Jenifer Artemis Gallery is dubbed The Art of Being Happy, and will be on view between June 24 and July 1, the gallery said.

The works were inspired by themes such as emotion, inner freedom and a positive outlook on life. According to Stankova, they are "an artistic journey in which colours tell stories, emotions come to life, and art becomes a feeling". In the works on display, happiness is explored as an emotion with its own form and colour, expressed through painting.

For the past three years, Stankova has been developing the Modernista Art project, establishing a distinctive artistic style in which the human face occupies a central place as a symbol of emotion and the inner world. Her creative work spans art jewellery, designer objects and sculptural forms, all united by a modernist aesthetic and a recognizable artistic signature.

The current exhibition brings together works dedicated to different expressions of happiness and summarizes the artist's principal creative explorations to date. Earlier this year, the exhibition was presented in the Danubian city of Ruse.
