Nikolay Naydenov has been proposed as Justice Minister in the draft Cabinet of Rumen Radev.

Naydenov, aged 51, is an expert with more than 20 years of strategic experience in the management of state institutions, social reforms, and international law, said the press service of Progressive Bulgaria. In the period 2023 – 2024 he served as Deputy Labour and Social Policy Minister, directly overseeing the management of European funds under the national Recovery and Resilience Plan and the Human Resources Development Programme. His expertise was key in coordinating anticorruption activities within the ministry.

He has served as Secretary-General of the Anticorruption Commission, as Secretary-General of the Supreme Judicial Council, and as head of a department in the Council of Ministers administration. He has represented Bulgaria before the institutions of the United Nations and the Council of Europe. He was elected Deputy Chair of the Governmental Committee on the European Social Charter in Strasbourg.

Nikolay Naydenov holds master's degrees in law and in International Relations from Sofia University. He has additional specializations in human rights protection, public procurement, and human resources management. He is currently a practising lawyer focusing on legal services for beneficiaries of European projects. He speaks French and English fluently. He is married with two children.
