It is certain that there will be a government by the end of the week, said Anton Kutev of Progressive Bulgaria at a briefing to journalists following consultations with President Iliana Iotova ahead of the handing of the first exploratory mandate to form a government.

We are aware that Bulgarians expect swift action, and we are ready to deliver it, Kutev noted. The main priorities of the government are clear, and we shared them with President Iliana Iotova. First and foremost is the fight against state capture and corruption, he added.

An important part of our work will be prices and the economic measures to curb inflation. We are working on the main directions, Kutev said.

You can expect dynamic and rapid work from us; it is extremely important for us to change the model of governance in Bulgaria, he emphasized.
