site.btaLand Forces Convoys to Move Across National Road and Rail Network After Exercises

Servicemen and military equipment from Land Forces units will be transported along Bulgaria’s road and railway network between April 28 and 30, 2026, after taking part in planned exercises, the Defence Ministry press centre said on Monday.

On April 28 and 29, personnel and military equipment returning from the tactical drill Defensive Shield 26 of the 5th Brigade Command will be transported from the Koren Training Area in Southern Bulgaria to Pleven, Shumen and Sliven via road and rail infrastructure.

On April 30, military convoys with personnel and equipment will travel along the national road network from the Novo Selo Training Area in Southeastern Bulgaria following field training exercises.

The convoys will be escorted by the Military Police Service.
