site.btaCat Show Brings Exotic Breeds to Blagoevgrad
An international cat exhibition opened at the City Art Gallery in Blagoevgrad, organizers at Estetiket Club said on Saturday. It features familiar and exotic breeds.
The exhibition includes breeders from Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, Serbia and Bulgaria. Their cats are being judged by an international jury in a nine-ring competition, with some rings divided into short-haired and long-haired breeds. Experts at the venue are sharing interesting facts about the different breeds and the criteria they use to judge the animals.
The breeds on display include Persian, Ragdoll and Maine Coon, as well as one of the rarest, Havana Brown, the exotic Serval and the ancient Abyssinian cat. Kurilian Bobtail and the smallest breed, Singapura, are also being shown, organizers said.
The event continues on Sunday, with free admission. Visitors can meet the animals’ owners, talk to them and, if they wish, take photos with some of the cats.
