The government Wednesday approved EUR 5.77 million in funding to secure the operation of the Traffic Safety Fund, the government press office reported.
The Fund is overseen by the Interior Ministry. It collects receipts from fines for violations related to equipment, as well as donations and other receipts. From the beginning of 2021 to the end of November 2-24, the Fund reported own revenue to the amount of over BGN 350 million (some EUR 175 million).
