BTA will publish the names of the top-of-the-list candidates of every party/coalition for all constituencies for the April 19 parliamentary elections. The information about the candidates is provided by the respective political entity, the candidates themselves and other official sources.

Atidzhe Alieva-Veli is the top-of-the-list candidate of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms for Ruse’s 19th multi-member constituency, Milena Hinkova, chair of the Constituency Election Commission in Ruse said here Thursday.

The local structure of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms in Ruse told BTA that Atidzhe Alieva-Veli had been a member of the European Parliament from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms/Renew Europe in the 2019-2024 term. She is a member of the 50th and 51st National Assemblies. A large part of her working career passed in State Fund Agriculture.

She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration with a specialisation in State Administration from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, a master’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the same university. In 2023 she successfully defended a dissertation at the Agricultural University - Plovdiv and obtained a doctorate. She has completed a number of training programmes in France, Lithuania, Austria, Italy, Spain, as well as at the US State Department.
