Park Hotel Pirin is cementing its position as one of Bulgaria’s leading spa and wellness destinations through its highly effective treatments, therapeutic mineral water and refurbished facilities, hotel manager Georgi Mitrev told BTA.
The hotel is the first in Bulgaria to earn the EUROPESPA WELLNESS certificate from the European Spas Association, confirming it meets the highest European standards for wellness infrastructure, hygiene, safety and service.
Set amid the greenery of the Pirin Mountains, the hotel combines modern comfort with natural surroundings. The region’s mineral water is considered one of Europe’s most effective treatments for bronchial asthma.
The spa centre offers a wide range of classic, therapeutic and relaxation massages, and detox and revitalising therapies and treatments. Guests can also choose from tailored wellness programmes, including physiotherapy. All treatments use top-quality German, French and Bulgarian cosmetics.
Renovation of one of the hotel’s three wings is nearing completion, following last year’s upgrade of the sauna park. The area features a Finnish sauna, a herbal sauna, two steam rooms, sensory showers, a salt room and a relaxation zone. Some indoor and outdoor pools, the hotel’s two restaurants and the ballroom have also been refurbished.
Open since 2007, Park Hotel Pirin offers year-round facilities for balneology, conferences, and cultural, religious, mountain and combined tourism. The hotel has 138 double rooms and apartments, including luxury and deluxe units, VIP suites and a presidential suite.
The hotel’s motto, “Home away from home,” reflects the loyalty of its regular guests, who have been returning for nearly 20 years, the manager said.
BTA presents news from certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres in Bulgaria in its BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water feature. Their total number exceeds 200. The initiative, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, is linked to Europe's leading health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, which will be held from May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena. BTA will be the event's main media partner.
