One person was injured and port and energy infrastructure was damaged during a massive overnight drone attack in Ukraine's Odesa Region, Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said on his Telegram channel. Fires caused by the assault have been extinguished by emergency services.

The Izmail District State Administration's operational headquarters said on Facebook that around 17,000 DTEK customers remain without electricity after the drone attack on port and energy infrastructure. In the city of Izmail, essential infrastructure is functioning, with partial power supplied by generators.

Water supply is currently disrupted in the town of Vylkove, with authorities working to provide drinking water for residents.

Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
