Delyan Peevski, leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning, has dismissed caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov’s comments about Bulgaria not joining the Board of Peace as “media smoke and mirrors.” “I want to remind this man [Gurov] that Bulgaria’s security and future cannot be left to personal preference, whim, or stubbornness so decisions on such strategic matters cannot rest with him,” Peevski said in a statement released by the party’s press office on Friday.

Peevski said that the regular government has already made a decision regarding Bulgaria’s participation in the Board of Peace, and that the National Assembly has passed a resolution requiring the government to submit the ratification document to Parliament.

”The reflections of this figurehead prime minister are completely irrelevant,” Peevski added. “He and Soros' puppet caretaker Cabinet are obliged to uphold the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria,” the MRF-New Beginning leader added.

Earlier in the day, in an interview with Euronews, Prime Minister Gurov said: “We have not joined the Board of Peace. What we wanted to demonstrate is that Bulgaria supports the peace plan in Gaza.”
