site.bta6,641,768 Bulgarians Are on Electoral Registers

A total of 6,641,768 Bulgarians are on the electoral register, Central Election Commission (CEC) Spokesperson Rossitsa Mateva said at a news briefing on Thursday. The register is published on the CEC website and anybody can check whether they are in it.

Voters have until April 4 to register if they want to vote according to their current address (not permanent address, where they are registered by default).

By March 14, parties and coalitions can change their name or their composition.

By March 17, they have to register their candidate lists.

The number by which parties and coalitions will appear on the ballots will be assigned by a draw on March 18. 

Mateva also said that the voting machines that Bulgaria is using, were purchased in 2021 with a three-year warrantee period, which has expired and the maintenance now is done by the State.
