Caretaker Minister of Transport and Communications Korman Ismailov has accepted the submitted resignation of Aleksander Vetskov as Director General of the National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC), the press centre of the Ministry of Transport and Communications said here on Tuesday.
The Ministry stated that, under an order issued by the Minister as of Tuesday, Vetskov has been relieved of his duties as Director General and member of the company’s Management Board.
Under the same order, current Management Board member Yordan Varbanov has been appointed Director General and will hold the position until a competitive selection procedure is completed.
Stoyo Todorov has been appointed as the State’s representative on the Management Board until the competition procedure is held. The changes take effect as of Tuesday, the Ministry’s press office added.
Established in 2002, NRIC is the biggest state enterprise and the only railway infrastructure manager in Bulgaria.
