Fuel prices on the Bulgarian market increased by between 6% and 9% over the past week amid the continuing conflict in the Middle East, according to data from the specialized platform Fuelo. Earlier on Monday, the price of Brent crude oil exceeded USD 100 per barrel for the first time in more than three and a half years after production and transport in the Middle East were significantly disrupted due to the conflict in the Middle East, the Associated Press reported.
According to data from the specialized platform Fuelo, the most widely used A95 petrol in Bulgaria rose by EUR 0.07 per litre, or 5.56%, over the past week and continues to show an upward trend. Its price on Monday, March 9, stands at EUR 1.33 per litre, compared with EUR 1.26 per litre on March 2.
The largest increase was recorded in diesel prices. Diesel rose by EUR 0.12 per litre, or 9.30%, also with a continuing upward trend. On March 2, diesel was traded at EUR 1.29 per litre, while currently it is sold at EUR 1.41 per litre.
Propane-butane increased by EUR 0.04 per litre, or 6.90%, also showing an upward trend. Seven days ago its price was EUR 0.58 per litre, while today it stands at EUR 0.62 per litre.
Methane, which had maintained its price until a week ago, also increased during the past week. The rise amounts to EUR 0.01 per kilogramme, or 0.88%, and according to the specialized platform data, it is also showing a trend of further increases.
