The newly appointed caretaker Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Angelina Boneva officially took over the management of the department from her predecessor, the former minister Ivan Ivanov. At the handover ceremony, Boneva stated that her main mission over the next three months will be to work for fair elections, ensure stability in the sector and prevent suspension of key infrastructure projects, the Ministry announced. 
 
The new minister set as a priority the organizational and technical preparation of the upcoming elections in the part that falls within the competence of her Ministry and the General Directorate for Civil Registration and Administrative Services. 
 
"I am entering the ministry with the clear task of being a good manager for these three months. My goal is not political promises, but expert management. The ministry must not stop working - the projects continue, and transparency will be the leading one," Minister Boneva stated.

Angelina Boneva holds a bachelor's degree from Oxford University, UK, and a master's degree in European Sciences from the University of Graz, Austria, according to information posted on the Council of Ministers website.

From 2022, served as Acting Director General for Strategic Planning and Programmes for Regional Development at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. Earlier, was Director for Project Information and Financing at the Fund of Funds and worked on EU-supported programmes and projects at the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy.

On April 4, 2023, was appointed as deputy minister in the caretaker government of Prime Minister Galab Donev.
