On Wednesday, February 11, the National Assembly is expected to debate at first reading amendments to the Social Security Code tabled by the Council of Ministers, according to the legislature's draft agenda this week, published on its website.
The draft amendments are aimed to introduce a multi-fund model in supplementary pension insurance. They provide for the creation of sub-funds with different investment profiles. The introduction of a multi-fund model will allow insured persons to choose how their pension savings are managed, taking into account “the varying risk tolerance of different categories of individuals at different stages of their life cycle”, the government says.
Wednesday's agenda of the National Assembly also includes the first reading of proposed amendments to the Agricultural Producers Support Act and bills amending the Health Act.
On Thursday, February 12, the MPs will hold the second reading of a bill to amend and supplement the Trademarks and Geographical Indications Act.
They also plan to vote on the proposed ratification of the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information. The agreement is based on the Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, developed jointly by the OECD and the Council of Europe.
Draft amendments to the Railway Transport Act will also be considered at first reading.
On Friday, February 13, the National Assembly will hold its regular question-time session.
