The Council of Ministers appointed Dimitar Petrov Ivanov as the Bulgarian Consul General in Nis, Serbia, with a consular district covering seven districts in the southeastern part of the country.

Ivanov is an experienced diplomat with a long career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including serving as Consul General in Bitola and as Director of the Security Directorate. He holds a degree in engineering, a master’s in radio electronics, and is fluent in English and Russian.

The Consulate General in Nis provides consular services to Bulgarian citizens, maintains contacts with local authorities, supports the Bulgarian national minority, and develops bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Serbia.
