“Let us finish our work with reason and respect for the people who sent us here,” said Iskra Mihaylova, deputy chair of the parliamentary group of MRF–New Beginning, speaking from the parliamentary rostrum in a statement on behalf of the parliamentary group.
“Today we are opening, in all likelihood, the final session of the work of the 51st National Assembly. This is hardly the moment to present the election programs of parties planning to enter the next parliament,” Mihaylova noted.
“We have only a few weeks ahead of us in which we must complete our work and send off yet another composition of the National Assembly,” the MP added. “As we welcome a new one - bearers of new hopes, of a new beginning,” she added.
“This is our duty - to make responsible decisions for our homeland in times of uncertainty,” Mihaylova said.
She added that Parliament must guarantee the work of the caretaker government through the exact and precise fulfillment of its constitutional obligations, noting that the responsible work of the government will ensure the functioning of all institutions in the country.
She called on lawmakers to make efforts, through their work, to support all institutions, municipalities, researchers, cultural figures, students and pupils, and artists who are working on projects supported by the European Union’s structural funds and on projects implemented under the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
