site.bta8.55% of Bulgarian Enterprises with 10 or More Employees Use AI in 2025

One in five EU enterprises with 10 or more employees used artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to conduct their business in 2025, Eurostat reported on Thursday. This represents a growth of 6.5 percentage points (pp) from 13.5% in 2024. Bulgaria is among the EU Member States with the lowest share of enterprises using AI, with only 8.55%.

Below Bulgaria are Romania with 5.2% and Poland with 8.4%, while Denmark, Finland, and Sweden are at the other end with 42%, 37.8%, and 35% respectively.

The share of Bulgarian enterprises that employ at least 10 people and use AI has been growing steadily over the past years, with 3.62% in 2023, 6.47% in 2024, and 8.55% in 2025.
