The National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, which brings together the social partners (the government, the trade unions and employers), is having an extraordinary meeting today, November 5, to discuss the bills for the state budget, the public social insurance budget and the health insurance budget for 2026, the government press service said.

On November 3, the Finance Ministry published the 2026 State Budget Bill along with the updated Medium-Term Budget Forecast for the period 2026–2028. The gross domestic product is expected to reach EUR 120.1 billion next year. The maximum amount of new government debt that may be taken on in 2026 is set at EUR 10.4 billion.
