Swiss Agricultural Producers Show Interest in Cooperating with Bulgaria
 
 Sofia/Bern, October 15 (BTA) - Swiss agricultural producers show  interest in cooperating with Bulgaria, it emerged from a meeting between  Agriculture Minister Dessislava Taneva and the Swiss Director of the  Federal Office for Agriculture, Bernard Lehmann, the Bulgarian  Agriculture and Food Ministry reported on Thursday. Taneva is paying a  visit to Switzerland at the invitation of Bulgaria's Ambassador there  Meglena Plougchieva. 
 
 Taneva and Lehmann discussed the opportunities for exchanging experience  in the field of small-scale stock breeding and direct access to  markets. The Bulgarian Minister described as a weakness the associating  of agricultural producers in Bulgaria and reducing the distance between  producers and end consumers. 
 
 Lehmann noted that there is a need for exchanging information between  the two countries, as they experience similar problems. The two  committed themselves to work for deepening cooperation between Bulgaria  and Switzerland, noting that both share an understanding about how  agriculture should develop. The Swiss Federal Office for Agriculture  Director accepted Taneva's invitation to visit Bulgaria and familiarize  himself personally with the sector's development. 
 
 The meeting was also attended by Roumen Zhelev and Sultanka Petrova, who  are members of the Parliamentary Agriculture and Food Committee.
