The Sofia Metro carried nearly 124 million passengers in 2024 compared to 94 million passengers in 2023, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Wednesday, September 17, the city's holiday.
Currently, the Sofia Metro has 298 locomotives with an overall capacity of over 82,000 passenger seats. The metro runs on a total of 50 km of lines.
