The 14th Augusta Wine and Cultural Heritage Festival 2026 opened in Stara Zagora on Friday and will take place until September 27, the organizers told BTA.

This year’s festival brings together 30 wineries, offering visitors a wide selection of wines and culinary experiences. The three-day programme also includes craft demonstrations, creative workshops, cooking shows, live music, and a charity painting event.

The festival will once again take place on the Ancient Roman Street in the city center, with the Augusta Conference opening the festival at the Regional History Museum, followed by a festive parade through the pedestrian area to the festival stage on the ancient Augusta Traiana street.

The parade will feature the 22 candidates for the festival’s “Queen of Augusta” title, along with wineries, exhibitors, and chefs from local restaurants. The highlight of the opening day will be the crowning of the new festival queen, who will serve as its ambassador.
