The 6th Open Buzludzha Festival will take place from August 14–16 at the Buzludzha Monument, organizers from the Buzludzha Foundation Project said on Tuesday.

The festival will feature its most extensive daytime programme yet, which will transform the monument into an interactive venue where architecture, technology, art, nature, and music come together. Highlights include the launch of the monument's first audio guide, a new interactive regional map, and an award-winning digital twin, offering a fresh perspective on Buzludzha's history and future.

A new feature in 2026 is a futuristic costume parade to the monument's iconic "flying saucer," with prizes for the most creative outfits. The evening lineup will feature performances from Robi, Preya, Mona, and Trigaida, followed by DJ sets.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the Project Buzludzha team and international experts in architecture and restoration, including Munich's chief urban planner Prof. Elisabeth Merk and restoration specialist Prof. Thomas Danzl from the Technical University in Munich.

In 2025, 10,000 visitors were attracted by the festival, which supports the preservation of Buzludzha Monument while promoting it as a space for art, culture, history, and tourism.
