site.btaNearly 200 International Students Enrolled in Sofia Forestry University in 2026

The University of Forestry in Sofia has 198 foreign students in 2026, the university’s press office told BTA. The students come from 28 countries across Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa, including Turkiye, Germany, Spain, France, Greece and Italy.

Most of them study Veterinary Medicine in English, with others enrolled in programmes including Engineering Design and Landscape Architecture.

In recent years, the number of foreign students has remained stable at around 200 per academic year.

According to the university, they are attracted not only by the affordable tuition fees but also by the quality of education.
