Robinson Beach has received the international Blue Flag award for the second consecutive year, recognizing its high standards of cleanliness, safety, environmental management, and visitor services, Simeon Tsvetkov, Chair of the Association for the Development of Sea Beach Management Activities, said on Thursday.

Tsvetkov pointed out that the award reflects the ongoing efforts of the concessionaire and everyone involved in managing the beach. Despite severe flooding that hit the Elenite area in 2025 and caused major damage to the coastline, Robinson Beach was quickly restored and now fully meets all Blue Flag criteria. He said the renewed recognition demonstrates that effective beach management can ensure a high-quality tourism experience even after natural disasters.

Located between Sveti Vlas and Elenite, Robinson Beach offers a peaceful setting, clean facilities and lifeguards. Dogs are not permitted on the beach, with clear signs informing visitors.

Blue Flag is a voluntary certification programme of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), an international organization with members from over 80 countries. It has operated for nearly 40 years, annually evaluating and certifying beaches, marinas, and tourism vessels. Currently, around 5,200 sites worldwide participate in the programme, including Bulgarian beaches and marinas.

BTA will present all 32 Bulgarian beaches and ports awarded with the Blue Flag in 2026 by the international jury of the Copenhagen Programme. The first Blue Flag in Bulgaria was raised on Sunny Beach on July 4, 1995.
