site.btaKyustendil Kicks Off Three-Day Cherry Festival
Kyustendil’s annual Cherry Festival opened on Friday and will run until June 28, featuring a three-day programme of cherry-themed art and culinary exhibitions, the organisers said.
During the festival in Bulgaria’s top cherry producing region, the Institute of Agriculture will present new cherry varieties.
The programme on Friday includes performances by Trio Bulgarina, ETNOTIX, and Molets, while on Saturday Kristian Yankulov, Bilyana Dobreva, ELIZABET, VENIAM, and Dara Ekimova will take to the stage.
The festival concludes on Sunday with a live cooking demonstration by chefs Petar Petrushev and Nikola Simeonov, a performance by the National School of Dance Arts in Sofia, and free guided city tours in both Bulgarian and English.
