Due to the Giro D'Italia cycling tour, Burgas Municipality will introduce temporary changes to the organisation of traffic in the coastal city from May 6 to 9, the municipal press centre said on Monday. Key central streets will be closed, with traffic restrictions being expected due to the events and competitors passing through.
In order to reduce the difficulties for residents and guests of the city, the Municipality will provide buffer parking lots with free access. On May 8 and 9, the right lanes of Odrin Street and San Stefano Boulevard will be designated as buffer parking zones.
Burgas will host the final of the first stage of the Giro D'Italia on May 8, as well as the start of the second stage of the tour on May 9. On May 6, the official presentation of the teams participating in the race will take place at the Burgas Summer Theatre.
