Public transport employees blocked one of the entrances to the Asparuh Bridge in Varna during a protest on Monday demanding an increase in their salaries by at least 5%.

Before blocking the Asparuh Bridge, which is the only connection linking the Asparuhovo and Galata boroughs with Varna city centre, the disgruntled transport employees held a motorcade in their personal cars around the city.

The protest was organized by the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria.
