Bulgarian firefighters will assist their Greek colleagues in controlling the large fires there.
On Saturday, the unit of DG Fire Safety and Civil Protection for extinguishing forest fires leaves for Greece. The group consists of 50 firefighters and 15 units of specialized machinery and equipment. The assistance is organised under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
