site.btaUPDATED Protesters in Ruse Rally against Euro Adoption, Demand Cabinet Resignation
A protest demanding the resignation of the government and opposing the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria took place in Ruse on Monday evening.
Lyubomir Petkov, Chair of Obedinenie 29, told the protestors that the people in power destroyed the education in Bulgaria. He was adamant that the protest is non-partisan and stated: "All parties are mafia and only want to use us."
Petkov accused MRF - New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski of trying to use people from different ethnic groups and pit them against each other with rallies held under the slogan "No to hatred!". Other protesters also criticized GERB leader Boyko Borissov.
Protests also took place in Panagyurishte, Southern Bulgaria, where the people chanted "Resignation!".
