site.btaBulgaria Showcases Culture, Education at Month of Europe 2025 in Cuba

The Embassy of Bulgaria in Havana participated in the first edition of the European Literature Festival, part of the third Month of Europe in Cuba, by presenting works of Bulgarian poet Nikola Vaptsarov, the Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Cuba said on its Facebook page.

In the third Month of Europe in Cuba, which is taking place between April 9 and May 9, 2025, Bulgaria is taking part in five panels with a total of seven initiatives.

Among the activities organized by the Bulgarian Embassy are:

• Bulgarian cuisine workshop — Cuban students will cook typical Bulgarian dishes at the "Bulgaria" restaurant in Old Havana;
• Participation in the European Film Festival with the Bulgarian movie The Tesla Case;
• Presentation of Bulgarian universities and opportunities for higher education in Bulgaria during the Education Fair;
• Easter egg painting workshops in Cuban schools;
• Presentation of Nikola Vaptsarov’s poetry during the first edition of the European Literature Festival;
• Participation in the European Sports Day, in which students from Cuban schools will compete in traditional Bulgarian sports and games;
• Performance of the "Bulgarian Rhythms" Bulgarian folklore ensemble and screening of a short documentary about the ensemble's work.
