Prevention remains underestimated, and many people seek help only when they face more serious health issues, Veselin Stoyanov, chief massage therapist at the Siena Premium Retreat wellness centre in Lozenets, Burgas Region, told BTA.
Stoyanov is a certified therapist at the National Sports Academy in classical and East Asian massage, with over 20 years of professional experience in alternative methods of treatment and prevention. He holds a third-degree Yumeiho therapist certification from the Center for International Preventive Medicine in Tokyo and is trained in Thai massage according to the system of the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai. He has also completed a number of courses in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, acupressure, yoga, and meditation.
"Prevention is of utmost importance, but in my practice I observe that people often skip this stage and seek help only when problems have already progressed. Despite that, we achieve significant therapeutic effects, and guests are motivated to return and improve their health," Stoyanov said.
"We offer personalized programmes that combine various approaches suited to each visitor’s specific needs. Before treatment begins, we assess the client’s health status and determine an appropriate combination of massages, exercises, and a recommended diet," he added.
"We take the psychosomatic medicine approach. That is precisely why we strive to make the best use of Ayurvedic techniques, yoga, breathing exercises, and meditation. People appreciate this because they cannot find it in their daily lives, nor in a hospital setting," the therapist added.
The combination of coastal and mountain environments provides fresh air that promotes recovery and relaxation. Both Bulgarian and foreign guests show interest in Siena Premium Retreat, with many of them visiting the hotel every year.
