The spa centre at the Samokov Hotel in the Borovets mountain resort offers year-round services, including a signature therapy called "After Ski," said the hotel manager Svetlana Atanasova to BTA. The centre was created as a space for complete relaxation, recovery, and health care.

The spa services are spread across two levels. On the first level there is a semi-Olympic-size swimming pool and a spacious thermal area including saunas, a steam bath, a cold plunge pool, an ice bucket, a Kneipp path, and foot baths.

Among the main highlights is an authentic Turkish bath, which offers deep cleansing and a relaxing experience through traditional rituals. Atanasova added that there is also an herbal sauna, which uses carefully selected herbs from Mt Rila.

The hotel manager noted that their approach is fully tailored to seasonality and the needs of guests. In winter, restorative therapies are offered after active pursuits, while in summer, balancing and refreshing treatments suitable after sun exposure are available.

The spa complex features eight modern massage rooms, including two doubles. The centre works with high-quality German cosmetics from a brand with proven results in skincare and restorative therapies. The spa centre also includes a fully equipped beauty area – hair salon, manicure, pedicure, and cosmetics – using professional products.

The hotel has its own signature treatment: the "After Ski" therapy. "This is a signature procedure developed by our team, reflecting our commitment to an individual approach and a high level of service. Our goal is clear – to offer not just spa services, but a complete experience combining comfort, nature, and health care, creating a sense of balance and harmony throughout the year," Atanasova said.

BTA presents news from certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres in Bulgaria in its BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water feature. Their total number exceeds 200.
