Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy provided a list of weapons needed by the Ukrainian army during his visit to Bulgaria on Thursday, said Defence Minister Todor Tagarev Friday. "They provided us with a list. This is one of the consecutive lists we are receiving," he explained, adding that the list provided by Zelenskyy will have priority in consideration.
Todor Tagarev confirmed that the list includes heavy armoured vehicles and air defence systems and clarified that it does not ask for aircraft. "Ukraine has huge needs. The war is going full force on the front. As Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his public appearances - they use thousands of shells a day and many other things are needed," Tagarev noted.
Asked if anything in this list bothers Bulgaria and if it can be implemented, Tagarev said that this is not a "question of anything bothering us". He added that Bulgaria understands the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "The question is what is within our capabilities. What we could give and under what conditions", he clarified.
