The arrival of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy happened on the basis of the compromise to give up our mandate to form a government, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said Friday.

He thanked the GERB-UDF MPs Delyan Dobrev and Hristo Gadzhev for their quick and efficient work, thanks to which they have formed huge majorities in committees and in plenary on the declaration of support for Ukraine in NATO, the unblocking of the reserve and the decision on the inability to use the reactors in Belene.

"It was worth it to make a government, it was worth it to bring Bulgaria to the position that has made its civilizational choice", Borissov said.

Asked why Zelenskyy had not come to the National Assembly, the GERB leader said that they had misled the Ukrainian President that Vazrazhdane would make excesses.

Borissov also said that he had sent his application for waiver of immunity on Thursday and this morning the National Assembly chair had taken it to the registry.
