Thirteen thousand customers are without electricity due to the overnight attack in Odesa Region, Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Administration, reported on his Telegram channel on Thursday.
“As a result of the massive attack on civilian infrastructure, power outages have been reported in several towns in the southern Odesa region. Power company workers are working to restore service,” Kiper said.
According to his information, two trailers with food also caught fire as a result of the attack.
A drone attack on Thursday morning injured four and damaged the facade and windows of a restaurant, Kiper also said.
Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
