LIK Magazine Dedicates February Issue to 130 Years of National Academy of Art

The February issue of LIK magazine is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the founding of the National Academy of Art. The Bulgarian News Agency’s literature, art and culture periodical is titled “130 Years of Higher Education in Fine Arts”. It presents not only key moments from the institution’s history but also the Academy’s contemporary directions of development.

The premiere of the issue will take place at 6:00 p.m. on February 26 at the Academia Gallery (1 Shipka Street, Sofia) and will be held simultaneously via video link with BTA’s national press clubs in Bulgaria and abroad. The presentation will feature BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and National Academy of Art Rector Prof. Georgi Iankov. Participants will also include the magazine’s editor-in-chief Assoc. Prof. Georgi Lozanov and LIK’s managing editor Yanitsa Hristova.

The authors featured in the issue will also take part: Assoc. Prof. Boyka Donevska, Head of the Art Studies Department at the National Academy of Art; Dr. Milena Balcheva-Bozhkova, curator of the Academy’s museum collection; and Svilena Chelebiyska-Mateeva, Director of Education, Projects and International Cooperation at the Academy.
