462 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 2.77%
Sofia, August 4 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 426,003, after 16,656 tests identified 462 new infections on Tuesday, according to data posted on the national coronavirus information platform at https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 2.77 per cent on Wednesday.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 95 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 58 and Bourgas Region with 54.
The active cases are 9,109. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 914, including 86 in intensive care.
The infected medical staff have reached 13,490, with 5 new cases detected since Tuesday.
Three fatalities are reported, and the death toll now adds up to 18,084.
With 12,389 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,050,991 persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so far, including 1,013,254 who are fully vaccinated. RI, LG/ДЛ/
