COVID-19 Update:
882 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 4.7%


Sofia, August 13 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 431,292, after 18,733 tests identified 882
new infections on Thursday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
4.71 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 228 positive
tests, followed by Burgas Region with 79 cases and Plovdiv
Region with 66.

The active cases are 13,216. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 1,264, including 106 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 13,538 (including 3,877
doctors, 4,580 nurses and 2,266 orderlies).

Another 228 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 399,755.

Fifteen fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up
to 18,321.

With 11,841 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,138,659
persons in aggregate have received a coronavirus vaccination so
far, including 1,063,195 who are fully vaccinated. RY/LG
