COVID-19 Update:
1,004 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 5.9%


Sofia, August 29 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 451,148, after 17,001 tests identified 1,004
new infections on Saturday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at
5.9 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 186 positive
tests, followed by Burgas Region with 136 cases and Varna Region
with 131].

The active cases are 28,245. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 3,369, including 297 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 13,769, with nine new
cases detected since Friday.

Another 77 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 404,198.

Fifteen fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up
to 18,705.

With 3,934 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 2,286,175
vaccine doses have been administered so far and [E] people are
