Parliament Schedules
Extraordinary Sitting on
September 7

Sofia, September 2 (BTA) - Parliament decided to hold an
extraordinary sitting on September 7 at 11 a.m.

The sitting's agenda will include the ratification of an
agreement for a donation of all-in-one antigen test kits for
diagnosis of COVID-19 to Bulgaria by the European Commission,
and the ratification of a second donation agreement for
all-in-one antigen test kits for diagnostics of COVID-19 to
Bulgaria by the EC.

Another item on the agenda will be a project for ratification of
a tripartite agreement for donation of vaccines against
COVID-19, produced by AstraZeneca, between Bulgaria, Bhutan and
AstraZeneca, and a bilateral agreement for donation of
AstraZeneca vaccines between Bulgaria and Bhutan.

Donations and sales of vaccines must be ratified by the National
Assembly, because this is part of the procedure. That is why
the Council of Ministers has sent these agreements to
Parliament, otherwise there will be reputational damage to the
State, said Prime Minister Stefan Yanev in response to a
question from MP Daniela Daritkova.

On Tuesday, the MPs will take the second vote on amendments to
the budgets of the National Health Insurance Fund and the public
social insurance for 2021.
